'Competent Person' service
Health & safety legislation, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires every employer to appoint a 'Competent Person', ("..a person who has sufficient training and experience or knowledge of health and safety to enable them to properly assist you in undertaking the measures to comply with health and safety legislation.”).* If you don't employ a health and safety professional, Crammer Safety will act for you in that legal capacity. This service provides comprehensive, ongoing support or it can be used as an additional specialist back-up if you already have some limited in-house safety expertise. *Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
